Glimpse of Georgia
A private tour explores local nature as well as some of the important Georgian historico-cultural monuments. Tour includes 2 overnights in the Greater Caucasus Mountains – in resort Gudauri and 2 overnights in Tbilisi. Participants will be able to sightsee the capital city Tbilisi, ancient capital town Mtskheta with its two famous historical monuments listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Ananuri Architectural Complex near Zhinvali reservoir, and mountainous province of Khevi.
Arrival at Tbilisi International Airport. Transfer to the hotel for overnight.

After breakfast at the hotel we start half day Tbilisi city tour by visiting one of the tallest orthodox Christian churches in the world – the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi (Sameba).
From Sameba we head to the Narikala Fortress by an aerial cable car. Narikala is situated on the hill overlooking the central districts of Tbilisi.
From there, we stroll down to the old city. On our way we will walk through the Botanical street, Sulfur Bathhouse district and pay a visit to the Legvtakhevi canyon with small river and waterfall.
After Tbilisi tour we drive to Mtskheta – the historical capital of Georgia and visit its two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, built in the 11th c., and Jvari Monastery, built in the 6th c.
From Mtskheta we continue our way to the north – towards the mountainous Khevi province. On the way we stop at the Zhinvali reservoir and visit Ananuri Architectural Complex, built in the 16th 17th c.c. Ananuri consists of the fortress, two churches and residential building, as it served as the residence and fortification of the local feudals in the medieval times.
In the evening we arrive at Gudauri (2196 m).

On day 3 after breakfast at the hotel we start a full-day exploration of the Caucasus Mountains;
On our way to Kazbegi we make several stops on the way – at the Cross Pass (2395 m level), to taste mineral waters at picky travertine mount, to observe the birthplace of Aragvi River from observation platform and to see Gveleti waterfalls.
Afterwards we arrive at Kazbegi – administrative center of Khevi province. From Kazbegi town we start our hike to Mount Gergeti – upward walk approximately 2.5 hours. On the mountain we are going to visit Gergeti Trinity church, built in the 14th c., located above Kazbegi town and on the foothills of the Kazbegi glacier (5033m).
After hike to Gergeti we make a short drive in the Dariali Gorge to the north. In the evening we arrive back to Gudauri.
Dinner and overnight in Gudauri.
After breakfast at the hotel we drive back to Tbilisi and continue the city sightseeing.
We make a walk on the Rustaveli Avenue, Meidan square and the old town, full of souvenir shops, outdoor cafes and art galleries scattered around.
We pay a visit to the glass Bridge of Peace and finish the tour on Mtatsminda – the highest point in Tbilisi (770m), where we can get with the funicular cable train.
Overnight in Tbilisi.
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Tbilisi International Airport. Departure. End of service.
