Bardanashvili's Marani
Since 2012, Bardanashvili’s family Marani in Kakheti is producing traditional Qvevri wine, without any additional chemical supplements. The little cellar is located Vardisubani village, notable for continuous tradition of Qvevri handmade production. Qvevri is a clay jar buried underground, covered by earth and is used for fermenting and storing wine in cool environment.
“In our winery you will experience cozy rural atmosphere and see 70-year-old vineyard with 4 different grape varieties. The grapes are growing on the plateau of Tsivi mountain. In 112-year-old wine cellar you will discover old Qvevri vessels, traditional homemade dishes, homemade white, rose and red wines, and Chacha”. – says the owner, Mr. Bardanashvili.
