In the morning drive to Racha region. First stop at Shaori reservoir, located at the altitude of 1132 m.

Continue to Tkibuli, a small town at the foot of Nakerala mountain. The town was a coal-mining center, but as of 2018, no mines remain operational in the town itself. We make a short photo stop at the town and head to Nikortsminda. The Cathedral was built-in 1010-1014 years, during the reign of King Bagrat the third. Its stone carving is recognized as a masterpiece of medieval culture. Inside the church, you will find magnificent fresco dating back to the 17th century. The cathedral is on the tentative list as a UNESCO world heritage site.

Have a photo stop at a heart-shaped waterfall. Arrive in the administrative center of Racha region – Ambrolauri. Visit local winery – Royal Khvanchkara, have an excursion around the winery and taste wines.

In the morning drive to the village – Khimi. According to sources, the village was inhabited in the 11th century. Here is preserved St. Georges church built in the 11th century. In the church, you will find fragments of frescoes from the same century. Visit medieval fortress - Khidikari, located in the gorge of Rioni river. See Barakoni cathedral dating 1753 year. Continue to Oni town and stop at the synagogue, built in the 19th century. Drive to resort Shovi, located 1520 meters above sea level. You will have free time to walk through the village, visit beautiful buildings, which were former residences and sanatoriums, but for now, are abandoned.

The main site to visit today is Gebi, an old village of the settlement Chiora, from the northern slopes of Caucasus bordered by Russia. Gebi with other two villages create one ethno-cultural area.
