The guide will meet you at Kutaisi hotel. As the tour is private, we start upon your convenience.
Grab lunch boxes and travel from Kutaisi to Gvirishi through the villages of the Rioni Gorge. The Lechkhum region is famous for the cultivation of wheat. The name of the village and the waterfall Gvirishi are related to the endemic wheat species.
Visit Zanduri house. This ethno-village is presented in a small space that includes a wine cellar, a barn, and a lovely family. Walk in a beautiful apple garden, listen to the host’s story about wheat and wine producing traditions, taste natural apple juice, honey and bio wine from this beautiful garden and continue the trip to Gvirishi waterfall.
Gvirishi Waterfall is located on a rocky mountain massif, 4 kilometers away from the village. Observe 25 meters height cascade from the glass panoramic platform.
Continue the way to another the village, Lailashi. There is 19th-century synagogue in the village. One of the most popular attractions here is a small outdoor pool that overlooks Lajanuri Dam and creates unique landscape for photography lovers. The pool water is cold and worth visiting, especially in hot weather.
Nearby the pool, we suggest to make an outdoor lunch.
After lunch, drive to the verge of Lechkhumi and Racha regions, Sairme Pillars. Start 2.5 km walk to the pillars (5 km double-way up & downhill). We might find and collect some mushrooms on a path.
Next stop is Tsageri, the administrative center of Lechkhumi region. Visit a small park and market, where we can buy locally produced traditional salt: the mix of spices and a local flavor, which gives a dish a special taste.
At the end of the day arrive to the Green Lake, Kulbaki village and visit family trout farm. The word Lechkhumi means fishing place. Let’s catch a fish on spot and enjoy delicious mushrooms picked up in Sairme forest for dinner.
Dinner and overnight at the family hotel in Kulbak.
