Tbilisi Sports Palace is an indoor sports arena, situated in a centrally located Saburtalo district, in the capital of Georgia – Tbilisi. The construction of the building started in 1957 and finished in 1961. Arena was designed by the architects Vladimir Aleksi-Meskhishvili, Yuri Kasradze, Temo Japaridze and designer David Kajaia.
Initially, arena was used for home matches for the basketball club Dinamo Tbilisi. Nowadays, it frequently hosts various cultural (live concerts, musical competitions etc.) and sports events (judo, basketball, handball, boxing etc.). The capacity of the arena varies between 9000 and 11000, depending on the event.
Tbilisi Sports Palace is located on 26th of May Square, next to the metro station Technical University.
