Chaukhebi
Chaukhi Mountain is located in Kazbegi Municipality on the Caucasus mountains. The highest peak is North Chaukhi, 3842 meters above sea level.
Chaukhi is one of the most popular trekking destinations in Georgia. The famous trekking route stretches from village Sno to Juta and Roshka and connects two historical regions Khevi and Khevsureti. There are two-way options by foot of horses: the first goes through Chaukhi Pass - one of the highest (3341 m) and steepest trekking passes in Georgia and therefore remains inaccessible longer than the others. Another, goes to the Sadzele pass - two day rout. The most fascinating things visitors can see - there are three Abudelauri Lakes.
Two accommodations are favorite to mention in Juta village: first is Juta house in very entrance to the village and another - Fifth Season at the very end of the village, on the way to Chaukhi Mountains.
Juta house is offering hotel rooms, outdoor pool filled from a river coming through mountains directly, barbecue facilities, a bar and a small café. A horse riding can be arranged in the village.
Fifth Season features accommodation on 2360 meters above the sea level, at the foothills of Chaukhebi Mountains and overlooking the lake - excellent location!
