Itinerary


Day to day

Arrive in TBS Airport. Transfer to the hotel. Check In.

Overnight in Tbilisi.

Breakfast in the morning. The guide picks you up in the hotel and you drive to Kakheti-the region of Georgia, known as the birthplace of viticulture and winemaking.

First stop in Bodbe Monastery (2 km before Signaghi town) - one of the major pilgrimage sites in Georgia. Afterwards arrive in Signagi (only 2 km from Bodbe Monastery)-an old trading town is located on the hills and is surrounded with medieval wall with 23 watchtowers. Cobbled streets and terracotta tile-roofed houses with colorful carved balconies and panoramic views of the Alazani Valley add the place a very charming character. Leisure walk around the town.

Visit Aleksander Chavchavadze’s Tsinandali residence (a 19th century Kakhetian nobleman, poet and a public figure). The house, it’s wooden balcony, ball room, winery and mixed style English-French garden welcomes exhibitions, international classic music festivals, wine forums and various events. Walk through the labyrinth and sip a glass of wine in 19th c winery.

Walk to Shumi Winery located nearby the house-museum. Shumi offers guided tour of the collection vineyard, museum and cellar. Museum tour, Lunch and wine tasting – 3 types of wine. Enjoy special Georgian dishes, delicious wine and New Year mood.

Shumi Winery Shumi’s vineyards, Winery, and Cultural and Tourist Complex allow you to journey through 8,000 years of winemaking tradition while actively experiencing the best of Georgia. Founded in 1997 at a historic location in Tsinandali, Kakheti, Georgia’s famous wine-making region, Shumi produces a wide range of grape-based alcoholic beverages and foods, including some with patented technologies which exist nowhere else in the world.

Return back to Tbilisi for overnight.

Breakfast in the morning. Start Tbilisi City Tour. The Rustaveli Avenue and Orbeliani Square are completely redesigned with a variety of New Year decorations and lighting, entertainment programs are held throughout the day intensifying festive atmosphere.

The New Year Village and Santa Claus House generously host all generations, featuring a Christmas market, Chichilaki forest, New Year’s Eve Exhibition, New Year’s market, food outlets, sweets festival, as well as children’s attractions and a decorated Christmas tree.

New Year’s Eve is celebrated with entertainment events around – concerts, electronic music evenings, performances for children, watching or lighting fireworks. Anyone is more than welcome to attend various events and concerts for free at these venues as well as enjoy Georgian food and buy some handmade souvenirs and traditional sweets.

Get acquainted with the Festive city. Ride up to Narikala Fortress by aerial cable car. Narikala Fortress dates back to 4th century AD, it has a superb location with magnificent panoramic views over the Tbilisi city. Stroll down to LegvtaKhevi (translated literally as “Fig Ravine”) – a beautiful place with a waterfall and a small river. Take a walk in the park near Sulfur bathhouses, well-known for their healing powers, Shardeni street, its neighborhood and Meidan square with its outdoor cafes, galleries and souvenir shops.

Our next stop is Rezo Gabriadze Marionette theater with an unique Clock Tower. Every hour an angel comes out with a small hammer to ring the bell. There is a small puppet theatre inside the tower and twice a day at noon and at 7 pm you can see a show – “The Circle of Life”. The tower is decorated with hundreds of tiles. People often call it the Tower with Clock or The Tower with Angel.

Walk along Chakhrukadze street and we are inside the old city wall, this district is called Kala. The narrow street takes us to the King Erekle II square and glass Bridge of Peace.

Afterwards stroll down on the Rustaveli Avenue, walk along the street and see the Parliament of Georgia, Rustaveli Drama Theatre, an Opera and Ballet Theatre.

When the clock strikes 12, meet the New Year with locals at the Rose Revolution Square in central Tbilisi, where main concert will be held involving tens of artists and bands all night long.

Overnight in Tbilisi.

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Caucasus Mountains. Pass Gudauri ski resort via Georgian Military Highway. The way to Gudauri is quite picturesque with attractive views of Great Caucasus Range, serpentine roads and waterfalls.

On our way we make a stop at the Zhinvali Reservoir and visit Ananuri Architectural Complex. Located in the gorge of the river Aragvi, complex is comprised of a fortress, two churches and residential buildings of the local feudal family – Aragvi Eristavi (dukes of Aragvi).

From Ananuri we head to the North, towards the Greater Caucasus mountain range, and arrive in Gudauri ski resort, situated at an elevation of 2196 meters above the sea level.

Visit Gergeti Trinity Church 14th c. is located above the alpine in Kazbegi and featured in British Newspaper’s world’s most stunning churches list. The ancient church, dating from the 14th century, stands at an elevation of 2170 meters, overlooking the small town of Stepantsminda, also referred to as Kazbegi, in the North of the country. Apart from its religious purpose, the medieval church used to serve as a hiding place. During invasions at different times in Georgia's history the national treasure was hidden there, since it was hardly reachable for enemies.

For lunch visit Keti’s family Cafe and taste main dish of mountain people - Khinkali (dumplings) along with New Year dishes.

Return to Tbilisi for overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Airport.

Cancellation is free of charge prior 7 days of the starting day.

  • The booking deposit 30  is non-refundable. 

If Tourist cancels the booked tour for some reasons not depending on Tour Operator, the following sums are kept back as a fine:

  • 50% of the total cost of tourist product in case of tour cancellation 7 days or less prior to the tour;
  • 100% of the total cost of the tourist product due to the Tourist's failure to appear.
