Founded in 1997 at a historic location in Tsinandali, Kakheti, Georgia’s famous wine-making region, Shumi produces a wide range of grape-based alcoholic beverages and foods, including some with patented technologies which exist nowhere else in the world.
With its philosophy of quality and innovation Shumi is the first company in Georgia first to utilize and develop biodynamic and green harvest methods and to produce certified organic wines. Shumi wines have earned more than 350 prestigious international awards and are exported to more than 29 countries around the world. In 2020, the Wine Company SHUMI was recognized as THE BEST PRODUCER OF GEORGIA at MUNDUS VINI, Germany.
