Meet the guide and driver in the morning. Drive to Prometheus Cave - one of the most prominent caves in Georgia, discovered in 1984. During the tour, you will explore stalactites, stalagmites, underground rivers, and lakes. Route inside the cave is in total 1600 meters long.
Next stop is at town Tskaltubo, located in 7 km from Kutaisi. Tskaltubo is a famous balneological resort. Have a nice walk through the city and visit unique sanatoriums and spa centers, as well as the famous Soviet-era bathhouse, often referred as "Stalin's Bathhouse".
Continue the tour to Motsameta Monastery, located in 7 km from Kutaisi. The Monastery, standing above the Tkaltsitela River and buried in coastal vegetation, was built in the 11th century by the king Bagrat III. The Monastery is named after Georgian noblemen, brothers David and Konstantine Mkheidze, who refused to convert to Islam and were executed in this place.
The final stop is at the UNESCO world heritage site - Gelati Academy and Monastery complex, established in the 12th century, during the Georgian Golden Era.
In the evening return to Kutaisi.
