Since Lechkhumi region is well known for the cultivation of wheat, the name of this village is related to the endemic wheat species.

This is where the multicultural background of the locals got derived from. One of the most popular attractions in Lailash is a small pool that overlooks Lajanuri Dam and creates a unique landscape for photography lovers. It should be noted that the pool water is very cold and is worth visiting especially in hot weather.

After lunch drive 20 km to the verge of Lechkhumi and Racha regions, Sairme Pillars. Here we start 5 km DBL way uphill/downhill hiking to the pillars. If we are lucky, we may find some eatable mushrooms on our walking path.
Our next stop is the administrative center of Lechkhumi region, Tsageri with a small park and a market, where visitors can buy locally produced Lechkhumi salt that is mixed with several spices. It also has a secret ingredient added, which will give your dishes an amazing flavor.
We end this day in the village of Kulbaki on Green Lake, where the local family has a trout farm. The word Lechkhumi means fishing place. You may catch fish on spot and enjoy your own delicious trout for dinner as well as mushrooms picked in Sairme forest.
