Tamari Wine Cellar
Tamari is a family-owned winery, comprised of 6 hectares of vineyards in Kakheti region, Georgia’s premier wine-producing area. The philosophy of the winery is to produce natural wines only under the traditional Kakhetian method of “Qvevri”.
Tamar Dighmelishvili is lady-winemaker from the village Shashiani. Gurjaani micro-zone location, alluvial and deluvial soils, Rkatsiteli and Kakhetian Mtsvane sort uniqueness conditions special features properties of the wine, characterized by a light straw color, harmonious taste, full, refined, sort specific aroma and developed bouquet.
Tamari wine cellar is committed to bottlings of Qvevri wines that reflect the terroir of their vineyards and the care and passion of their growers. Combined with additives free, natural fermentation, no filtration and no fining – the wines are truly an expression of natural wines.
Tamar’s wine cellar is open throughout the year for wine lovers and enthusiasts to taste special Qvevri wines.
