Borjomi and Likani are unique thermal and balneological spa resorts, nested in the Lesser Caucasus Mtkvari river gorge. The area is notable for Borjomi and Likani mineral waters and Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park .
Borjomi Museum of Local History was opened in 1926 in a building built by German gothic architect V. Shveier 36 years earlier. Museum has five main departments: archaeological, historical-ethnographical, applied art, local landscape and nature department.
Considered as one of the largest protected areas in Europe, Borjom-Kharagauli National Park is known as an outstanding Wilderness, committed to preserving the region’s extraordinary nature and endemic plants, 60% of which are endangered.
