Lagazi is a family wine cellar, located in village Zemo Alvani. Here, wine is made according to Georgian traditional method – in Qvevri (Qvevri is a Clay vessel that is buried under the ground). In our family wine cellar you can get acquainted with traditional method of wine making in Qvevri, taste natural wine “Lagazi” that is made from different grape variety and have a family lunch, with traditional Georgian dishes. You also can learn how to make Georgian food on a cooking class. The class features recipes for traditional Georgian dishes, such as khinkali (dumplings from the highlands), khachapuri (Tushetian style), churchkhela (Georgian candy).
The main aim of our wine cellar is to produce pure and natural wine and also to produce wine from forgotten vine varieties.
