Kbilashvili family winery

Qvevri workshop and winery of Kbilashvili family is located in village Vardisubani, Telavi municipality, only 3 km away from town Telavi, at the heart of Kakheti region.

Kbilashvili family is famous of qvevri production traditions. Nowadays, father and son – Remi and Zaza Kbilashvili are continuing this tradition. They are producing qvevris – Georgian clay vessels, that has been used in Georgia for thousands of years for storing and fermenting of wine.

Kbilashvili Winery offers its visitors informative tour where they will be introduced to qvevri production process – from clay processing, to drying out and baking of final product. Moreover, this wine cellar offers tastings of their Rkatsiteli and Saperavi qvevri wines, as well as Chacha – famous traditional Georgian grape pomace brandy.
