10 days Nature & Culture Tour to Georgia is a special itinerary designed for you to experience this country in different ways. Get acquainted with national folklore, meet the local population to truly feel the spirit of Georgia, taste delicious dishes from various regions of the country, participate in making lunches and learn how to cook famous Georgian dish - Khinkali. You will have short hiking experience in Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park, enjoy the natural beauties of Martvili Canyon and Prometheus grotto. Finally explore the wine region of Georgia – Kakheti and sample some of the best Georgian Qvevri and European wines.

Day to day itinerary
Day 1: Arrival – Tbilisi
Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Free time.
Overnight in Tbilisi.
Day 2: Tbilisi city tour
Highlights: Old Town, Gardenia Shevardnadze flower nursery, Dinner with folk show
Breakfast at the hotel. Explore the city of Tbilisi. During your tour visit some of the outstanding historical & architectural monuments of the city. First stop at Holy Trinity Cathedral (“Sameba”)-the main Orthodox Cathedral and the seat of Patriarch of Georgia.
Continue the tour and ride up to Narikhala fortress by aerial cable car, enjoy the views of the city from the top of Narikhala fortress and stroll down to Legvtakhevi area, with a waterfall and a small river running by. Walk to Sulfur Bathhouses and reach Meidan Square.
Continue to the National Museum of Georgia, where we start a guided tour and learn the history of the country from the ancient times.
Next stop at Gardenia Shevardnadze, an amazing little flower garden and nursery. Relax in the cozy little café located inside the garden, enjoy the beauty and scent of blooming plants around and taste delicious home-made cakes and lemonade. Have some free time to roam around the garden
After visit Mtatsminda Mountain & park by Tbilisi funicular for relaxation and panoramic views of the city.
In the evening have dinner at Georgian restaurant accompanied by folk show.

Day 3: Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Borjomi – Borjomi Park – Borjomi
Highlights: Mtskheta UNESCO sites, mineral waters of Borjomi, pleasant walk in Borjomi park
Breakfast at the hotel. Head to Mtskheta town, which once was the capital of Iberia Kingdom (Eastern Georgia), until the capital was moved to Tbilisi. Explore here 2 UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Jvari Monastery of 6th c. and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral of 11th c.
Overnight in Borjomi.
Day 4: Borjomi – Akhaltsikhe – Vardzia – Borjomi
Highlights: Rabath Fortress & Museum, Vardzia Caves, trout barbeque in Vardzia Valodia’s farm
Breakfast at the hotel; Today we explore the historical monuments of South Georgia – Samtskhe-Javakheti. Frist stop is Rabati fortress, which encompasses several churches, mosque, a museum and a fortress dating back to 14th c.
Continue cultural exploration and drive to Vardzia cave town passing the picturesque scenery of Mtkvari gorge. Opportunity to spend time in Valodia Zazadze’s Cottages and Farm, enjoy traditional Georgian hospitality & food and local wine as well. Four generations of this family are all involved in managing the farm. Hosts prepare meals with fresh and natural products from the garden and the greenhouse. The place includes cattle, pig, rabbit, trout farms and bee colony. Upon arrival have lunch in the farm with fresh trout barbeque.
Next excursion to Vardzia, an ancient rock-cut town established in 12th. The cave complex presents one of the four surviving frescos of King Tamara.
In the evening drive back to Borjomi.

Day 5: Borjomi – Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park Info trail – Borjomi
Highlights: 2-3 hrs hiking (3 kms) in Borjomi-Kharagauli National park
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park administration and register as a visitor.
Have a short hiking experience taking National Park Information trail. The route starts from the administration building (850 m). It is about 1.5 hr.to go through the trail, while after a 600 m hard ascent the trail straightens and turns to the left where the circle is done and goes back to the same section. The highest peak of the trail is 950 m above sea level. Enjoy hiking and head back to your hotel. Free time.
Overnight in Borjomi.
Day 6: Borjomi – Prometheus Caves – Bagrati – Kutaisi
Highlights: Bagrati Cathedral (UNESCO site), Prometheus Caves
Breakfast at the hotel. Continue to Imereti region. Head to Prometheus Grotto – one of the largest caves that have been found in Georgia. Explore just a small part of the grotto, with various types of stalactites, stalagmites, underground river and cave pearls.
Overnight in Kutaisi.
Day 7: Kutaisi – Gelati Monastery – Martvili Canyon – Kutaisi
Highlights: Gelati Monastery (UNESCO site), boat tour in Martvili Canyon
Breakfast at the hotel. Continue sightseeing of Imereti region with a visit to Gelati Academy and Monastery (12th c.). The site is included in UNESCO World Heritage Sites list.
Enjoy the unique natural attraction of Georgia – Martvili Canyon. Over millions of years, Abasha river has created magnificent gorge in limestone rocks, reaching a depth of 40 meters, with canyons, caves and waterfalls. The total length of the canyon is one kilometer available to reach. Have boat trip and reach the very beginning of the canyon with 7 meter high powerful waterfall.
Drive back to Kutaisi for overnight.
Day 8: Kutaisi – Uplistsikhe – Chardakhi – Tbilisi
Highlights: Uplistsikhe caves, wine-tasting & lunch in family winery in Chardakhi village, Georgian culinary master class in Chardakhi village (Khinkali-making)
Breakfast at the hotel. Start driving back to Tbilisi. En-route visit Uplistsikhe caves, dating back to 1st millennium BC.
Continue to a small village Chardakhi located near Mtskheta. Have cooking master class at local house and winery. The hosts teach us how to make Khinkali. Khinkali is a dish made of dough filled with various fillings, mostly with spiced meat (most often this is beef and pork), but other filling, like mushrooms and potatoes, for vegetarians are also used. We shall be guided how to prepare this dish with our own hands and have a chance to taste it afterwards during lunch at the local family house.
After master-class have a home-made wine-tasting session in the local house and find out about traditional ways of wine-making in Georgia. We also taste Chacha – Georgian home-made vodka.
Take a lunch break in the local house with home-made dishes. Arrive in Tbilisi.
Overnight in Tbilisi.
Day 9: Tbilisi – Tsinandali – Shumi – Gremi – Tbilisi
After breakfast drive to Kakheti region – the main wine-making region of Georgia. First stop in Tsinandali village and Tsinandali museum of Alexander Chavchavadze. Chavchavadze was Kakhetian nobleman and public figure who introduced European method of wine-making in Georgia. He established an estate and garden, where he frequently entertained his guests.
Continue to Shumi winery located nearby. Shumi owns Vazioni museum which houses a fine collection of wine related exhibits, an ethnography department and a wine-tasting area. The museum collection contains 294 varieties of vine collected by SHUMI employees in different areas of Georgia, as well as 92 varieties of foreign vines. Hearby have wine-tasting with light snacks.
Afterwards visit Gremi Citadel and Royal Residence which functioned as the capital of Kakheti kingdom in 16th-17th cc.
Evening drive back to Tbilisi.

Day 10: Tbilisi – departure
After breakfast transfer to the airport and departure.
