This 14-days itinerary introduces us 2 countries of Caucasus in depth – Georgia and Armenia. The journey starts in Tbilisi – the capital of Georgia. After seeing the highlights of the capital city, continue trip to Mountains of Caucasus and Stepantsminda via spectacular Georgian Military Highway, enjoy short hiking experience to Gergeti Mountain and Gveleti waterfalls. Further heading to Imereti region, visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites and Natural Monuments of Prometheus grotto and Martvili Canyons. After exciting journey in Georgia comes to the end head to another country well worth of visiting – Armenia. Explore UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Sanahin and Haghpat as well as Zvartnots Temple and Ejmiatsin Cathedral, spend some time in Yerevan – the “pink city”, go to a special place for lunch – Megeryan carpet factory, where we are able to participate in rug waiving process. During the tour taste famous Armenian brandy in “Ararat” factory and Armenian bread “lavash” made with your own hands.
Both countries welcome us by experienced guides who introduce us to the historical and architectural monuments, special highlights and UNESCO World Heritage Sights. Have visits to local wineries and families; enjoy home-made food and feel the local spirit. Day to day itinerary
Day 1: Tbilisi – Arrival
Land in Tbilisi airport. Transfer from airport to the hotel. Check In.
DAY 2: Tbilisi City Tour
Get to know the capital of Georgia – Tbilisi. Visit all the main attractions of the city: Holy Trinity Cathedral (“Sameba”) built in 21st c. Metekhi church of 13th c. located by the bank of Mtkvari river. Ride up to Narikala Fortress by aerial cable car. enjoying magnificent panoramic views over Tbilisi city. Stroll down Legvtakhevi-a beautiful place with waterfall. Walk in the park near Sulfur bathhouses, well-known for their healing powers, on the Shardeni street and Meidan square with its outdoor cafes and souvenir shops. Continue to the National Museum of Georgia on Rustaveli Avenue, which includes artifacts of natural and human history and rich ethnographic and archaeological collections beginning from Paleolithic era to Middle Ages.
Leisure evening in Mtatsminda Mountain by Tbilisi funicular.

DAY 3: Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Chardakhi – Ananuri – Gudauri
Continue to the small village Chardakhi near Mtskheta for Khinkali-local food masterclass, home-made wine and Chacha tasting to find out about traditional ways of wine-making in Georgia.
Take a lunch break in the local house with home-made dishes. Drive North to Gudauri ski resort through the Georgian Military Highway. The way to Gudauri is very picturesque with attractive views of Great Caucasus Range, serpentine roads and waterfalls. On the way, stop at Ananuri fortress - former residence of Aragvi Eristavis’ (Dukes) during 16th-17th cc.
Overnight in Gudauri.
DAY 4: Gudauri – Stepantsminda – Gergeti – Dariali – Gudauri
Full day ahead is dedicated to enjoying the beauty of Caucasus Mountains. Travel to Kazbegi (Stepantsminda)– via Jvari Pass (Cross Pass; 2395 m. above sea level), make few stops to local taste mineral waters. Easy walk (approx. 2 hours) to Gergeti Holy Trinity Church of 14th c. on the top of Gergeti mount, followed by sightseeings of Dariali gorge and Gveleti waterfalls.
Overnight in Gudauri.
DAY 5: Gudauri – Gori – Uplistsikhe – Kutaisi
Today’s highlights include easy hike in ancient caves. First stop in Gori-birthplace the Soviet dictator J. Stalin. His house functions as a museum and presents items related to Stalin’s life: his personal train carriage and a small house where he was born. Continue to Uplistsikhe caves, dated back to 1st millennium BC.
Overnight in Kutaisi.
DAY 6: Kutaisi – Prometheus Caves – Martvili Canyons – Tbilisi
One of the most memorable days of the tour! Visit Prometheus Grotto-famous large cave with various types of stalactites, stalagmites, waterfalls, cave pearls and lakes.
Continue to the unique natural attraction-Martvili Canyon. You will take a boat trip and reach the very beginning with 7 meter high powerful waterfall.
Return to Tbilisi for overnight.

DAY 7: Tbilisi – Sadakhlo border - Sanahin – Haghpat – Yerevan
Temporary farewell to Georgia and drive to Sadakhlo border. Meet the Armenian staff and proceed with the journey to Armenia.
Drive to Alaverdi, visit two masterpieces of Armenian architecture of 10-14th centuries: the monasteries of Sanahin and Haghpat, UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Both are located on an uneven plateau, separated by a deep crack formed by a small river that flows into the river Debed. Haghpat Monastery was considered one of the largest cultural, religious and educational centers in medieval Armenia.
Continue to Yerevan and have dinner at the traditional restaurant with folk music.

Day 8: Yerevan (city tour)
Day 8: Yerevan (city tour)The day is at leisure to explore fully the capital of Armenia-Yerevan, known for years as a “pink city” because of the color of the stone it was built with. Visit Republic square, Mashtoc Avenue, the House of Opera and Ballet of Aram Khachatryan, the park “Cascad”.
Continue to Megeryan carpet factory and participate in a rug waiving process. Lunch on spot.
Next sight is the Manuscript Museum of Armenia-Matenadaran, where all ancient Armenian Manuscripts are kept and History museum of Armenia.
Overnight in Yerevan
Day 9: Yerevan – Zvartnoc – Ejmiatsin – Yerevan
Another day to get acquainted with the Armenian culture. After Breakfast excursion to the centuries-old monuments Ejmiatsin and Zvartnots, listed on UNESCO World Heritage list. Our next stop is the spiritual centre of Armenia: Ejmiatsin-the official residence of the Catholicos of Armenia and the museum of Ejmiatsin where a small part of Noah’s ark is kept. Return to Yerevan and visit Armenian brandy factory “Ararat”.

Day 10: Yerevan – Garni – Havuts Tar - Geghard – Yerevan
Leisure breakfast. Start off to Garni. This Pagan Temple built in the 1st century AD. is the only temple preserved from the Pagan times in Armenia. It was devoted to the Mihr, the god of cleanness.
Next, 3-4 hours easy hiking trip to Havuts Tar monastery. Visit a local house where we can participate in the preparation of Armenian national bread-lavash. In 2015 it has been inscribed in UNESCO intangible heritage list.
Continue trip to Geghard Monastery. The name comes from the legendary lance that was used to pierce the body of Christ.
Drive back to Yerevan and visit food market “Gum”, bye local flavors.
Overnight in Yerevan.
Day 11: Yerevan – Khor Virap – Areni – Noravank – Karahunj – Goris
Commence this day with a trip to Khor Virap Monastery (4-18th cc.). Enjoy the view of the sacred Ararat Mountain – an immortal symbol of Armenia.
Afterwards continue to the Armenian Wine Village Areni famous with its red wine. Visit the wine factory and have wine degustation.
Have lunch at the local house with Armenian barbeque. Taste famous Armenian National meal made by ourselves. The village is famous with various traditional games, where we have chance to participate.
Drive to Noravank - a monastery of 12th century situated among amazing sheer rocks on the twisty gorge.
Have a meeting with the priest who will tell us about traditions and religious life of Armenia.
Explore the ancient observatory of Karahunj-similar to Stonehenge in England. The 204 stones near Sisian have been ascribed with cosmic, mystical and fertility powers.
Overnight in Goris.
Day 12: Goris – Tatev – Selim – Sevan – Dilijan
Exciting journey in Armenia continues. Start the trip by visiting the monastic complex of Tatev- found within the ages of 9-13, it was a famous educational center in Armenia. The Wings of Tatev-is the longest reversible aerial tramway, built in only one section, and holds the record for the longest non-stop double track cable car-with the length of 5.7 km.
Continue to Selim via pathways used by the travelers of Great Silk Road. Drive through the Selim Caravanserai-formerly being an important trade center. The immortal tracks of world history are visible here.
Beautiful sights await us at Lake Sevan-one of the largest lakes in the world, that stands out by the stunning blue water and beautiful scenery around.
Last stop at Sevanavank Monastery-10th c. situated on Sevan Peninsula. Nowadays 2 monasteries remain: one of them is destroyed but the other stands still. Drive to Dilijan.
Overnight in Dilijan.
Day 13: Dilijan – Sadakhlo (15:00) – Tbilisi
Breakfast. Delight in your final views of Armenia this morning. Walk along the Sharambeyan Street- one of the oldest streets of the city, buy souvenirs and see the life of the small city. Bid Goodbye to Armenia and drive to Sadakhlo border. Meet with the Georgian Team and head to Tbilisi. Check-in at the hotel and rest.
Evening farewell dinner at the Georgian restaurant accompanied by folk show.
Overnight in Tbilisi.
Day 14: Tbilisi – departure
Breakfast at the hotel. The tour came to the end. Get transferred to Tbilisi International Airport and departure.
