Mtskheta was ancient capital of Georgia from 4th c BC to 5th c AD. This little town contains two of the UNESCO world heritage sites in Georgia.

Tbilisi holds more than 1500 year’s history as the capital, and because of strategic and economic advantages has always been in the center of battlefield during invasions. In the old city you feel the mix of multi-ethnic cosmopolitan traditions, which create incomparable and unforgettable charm of Tbilisi.

In the morning pick up from the hotel. Drive to the old capital Mtskheta. Visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral 11th c  and Jvari monastery 6th c. In the middle of the tour have lunch with Georgian dishes. After lunch drive back to Tbilisi and explore the old and new districts of Tbilisi. Ride up to Narikhala Fortress by the aerial cable car and admire the views of the city from the top. In the evening return back to the hotel.

Sights to visit

Jvari monastery 6th c is the culmination by a number of artistic and architectural aspirations in early Georgian Christian architecture.

Svetitskhoveli Cathedral 11th c is one of the most sacred places in whole Georgia, with the Christ’s robe preserved in the Cathedral.

Metekhi plateau & church 13th c presents one of the most important architectural monuments of old Tbilisi.

Narikala Fortress 4th c dominates the Old Town as a most impressive architectural landmark. You may ride up to Narikhala Fortress by the aerial cable car and enjoy Tbilisi view from high. 

Old Sulphur Bath houses: with healing natural warm water, that was praised by numerous travelers who visited the city.

Meidan square & Shardeni street neighborhood-famous for cozy cafes, bars, restaurants, souvenirs‘ shops, picture galleries.
