Day to day itinerary

  • DAY 1: Arrival in Tbilisi Airport

    Transfer to Tbilisi hotel.

    Overnight in Tbilisi.

  • DAY 2: Tbilisi-Mtskheta-Gori-Uplistsikhe-Kutaisi

    Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the old capital of Iberia Kingdom-Mtskheta  and visit UNESCO heritage sites: Svetitskhoveli Cathedral 11th c  and  Jvari Monastery 6th c. Arrive in  Gori city-to see  Stalin's house-museum, excursion in Uplistsikhe-the most ancientcaves 1st mill BC.  Continue to the West to the second largest city in Georgia- Kutaisi. See the beautiful sunset from Gelati Academy and perfectly preserved mosaic 12th c.  

    Dinner and overnight in Kutaisi.

  • DAY 3: Kutaisi Tour-Promete Caves-Kutaisi

    Breakfast at the hotel. Visit UNESCO site: Bagrati cathedral 11th c., located in the city center on top of the hill and overlooking the area. Explore one of the most popular and largest caves-Promete with various types of  stalactites, stalagmites, cave pearls, underground rivers, waterfalls and lakes.  Drive to Okatse Canyon. The canyon runs roughly for 14 kilometers, width ranges from 3-6 to 15-20 meters, while its depth is between 20-100 meters; magnificent wild nature, astonishing waterfalls and breathtaking views!

    Drive back to Kutaisi for dinner and overnight. 

  • Day 4: Kutaisi-Borjomi-Akhaltsikhe

    Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the Borjomi spa-town  and walk in the Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park, where we can taste famous mineral spring water.  Continue to Akhaltsikhe. Visit Rabati complex dating back to 14th century. The complex includes a castle, public area, administrative building, Museum, Church, Mosque and remains of a Medresa (Islamic school).

    Overnight in Akhaltsikhe.

  • Day 5: Akhaltsikhe-Vardzia-Tbilisi

    Breakfast at the hotel. Continue the way along the Kura River valley. Photo stop near the well preserved mediaeval Khertvisi fortress. Continue to the unique monument of architecture, rock-hewn town of Vardzia. Vardzia cave complex consists of approximately 600 rooms located in five, six, seven and sometimes twelve tiers, which included residential caves, spring, churches, refectories, bakeries, wine presses, stables, barracks and stores, the secret tunnels, internal corridors and painted chapels.

    Drive back to Tbilisi.

    Evening arrival to Tbilisi for overnight.

  • Day 6: Tbilisi City Tour

    Start Tbilisi sightseeing tour from Mtatsminda Park –funicular cable train takes you on the highest point in the city for panoramic observation.  Mamadaviti Pantheon is located on the middle level of the way. Stroll downhill to the Rustaveli Avenue and  head to the National Museum of Georgia.  One of the most important collections of the Georgian National Museum is the Collection of Treasures that contains a big number of unique objects from the second half of the III millennium BC through 19th century AD. The collection features gold and silver artifacts and jewelry from the pre-Christian period.

    Continue to the Sameba Cathedral  and Metekhi Church of 13th c  on the left bank of Mtkvari river.   Enjoy the amazing panoramic views over Tbilisi city while riding on cable car to Narikala Fortress, walk down the Legvtakhevi park and Sulfur bathhouses and  head to the Shardeni street , where you can spend leisure time  in  outdoor cafes.  Have a nice walk on the glass Bridge of Peace.  Free evening on Dry bridge, where you can find the handicraft and souvenirs.

    Transfer to the hotel. 

    Overnight in Tbilisi.

  • Day 7: Tbilisi-Transfer to the Airport

    Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Airport. Departure.
