UNESCO World heritage site Ushguli village in Svaneti is the highest permanently settled village in Europe. Jeep adventure starts in Mestia and takes you to the village along Enguri River. The trip is designed for travelers’ who enjoy the professional guided and chauffeured traveling.

Day to day itinerary
Day 1: ARRIVAL
Arrive in Tbilisi airport. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Tbilisi hotel.
Day 2: TBILISI-KUTAISI
After breakfast at the hotel start a half day Tbilisi citytour. The panorama from Mtatsminda Park - the heist point in the city (on the altitude 780 m above sea level) is a good beginning of the day. Funicular train rides to the top.
Visit the Golden Treasury of National Museum. Drive to the Trinity Cathedral, the largest one in Georgia.We finish Tbilisi sightseeing and continue towards Western Georgia, Imereti region to explore very important UNESCO site - Bagrati cathedral dated back to the 11thcentury.
Dinner and overnight in Kutaisi hotel.
Day 3: KUTAISI-ZUGDIDI-MESTIA
Have breakfast at the hotel. Before taking direction towards Svaneti region drive to Prometheus grotto. Formed of limestone and distinguished by its stalactites and stalagmites, with its inimitable petrified forms. The cave is unique due to its various architectural halls. Continue to Samegrelo. Stop in Zugdidi, one of the main cities of Samegrelo. Visit of the Dadiani Palace surrounded with nice garden rich of exotic plants. The place was transformed into museum in 1921. North passing through the gorge of Enguri River and stop en-route to take a look at Enguri dam the highest one in Europe (274m). Evening arrival in Mestia.
Dinner and overnight in Mestia.
Day 4: MESTIA-USHGULI-MESTIA
After breakfast at the hotel start driving to Ushguli by local 4 x 4WD jeeps. Pass through the amazing landscapes, rich of coniferous trees and fresh air. The scenery is totally different from the eastern highlands. En route make few stops at Ipari and Kala villages. Arrive in Ushguli, the highest settled village in Europe (2100m), which is included in the UNESCO sites for its unique Svanetian towers dated back to the 9th-12th centuries. In Zhibiani, one of the villages of Ushguli community little chapel is named after the goddess of Fertility in Svanetian belief which was lately called as La Maria because of the Christianity influence. Walk through the old cobble houses of Ushguli. Drive back to Mestia.
Dinner and overnight in Mestia.
Day 5: MESTIA-ZUGDIDI-KUTAISI
Drive to the Have breakfast at the hotel. Start morning tour with the visit of Margiani tower, where you can learn about “Machubi”- traditional living house for Svanetian people. Continue to Hatsvali mountain ski resort 8 km away from Mestia. Enter the cable car, drive up to the top and overlook the amazing snowy peaks surrounding the area.
Head back to Kutaisi and take a nice evening walk in the centre.
Dinner and overnight in Kutaisi.
Day 6: KUTAISI-BORJOMI-BAKURIANI
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning visit of Gelati Monastery and Academy (UNESCO). The complex was founded by the Greatest King of Georgia David the Builder in the beginning of the 12th century and it earned high importance in religious and cultural ways for ages. The main church was painted with amazing frescoes between 12th – 17th centuries. On the right side from the main church there’s located the tomb of David the Builder with an Iron Gate overlooking on it, which was taken by his grandson to prove his victory on the enemy. Continue to Motsameta Monastic Complex and enjoy the quiet atmosphere surrounded by green mountains. Drive towards Borjomi National Park. Take a nice walk inside the park towards the warm mineral water pool and taste local mineral sparkling water. Drive to Bakuriani resort, 26 KM away from Borjomi town.
Have dinner and overnight in Bakuriani hotel.
Day 7: BAKURIANI-AKHALTSIKHE-VARDZIA-BAKURIANI
Breakfast at the hotel. Today explore Samtskhe-Javakheti region. The first visit is at Rabath fortress complex, located in the heart of Akhaltsikhe town. The complex includes: Sargis Jakeli castle of 14th c., Fortress Church (late Middle Ages), Palace 18th century and the Church of Saint Marine (1865) with built-in relief works.
Drive to Vardzia rock-cut town– a unique monument of Georgian architecture. Due to the fact that the place was often attacked by enemies Samtskhe-Javakheti served as a barrier from the neighbors. Thus, during the reign of King George III and his daughter Queen Tamar town-fortress Vardzia was built to protect the borders.
After excursion in Vardzia drive back to Bakuriani for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: BAKURIANI- MTSKHETA-TBILISI
After breakfast at the hotel drive back to Tbilisi. Pass through Mtskheta town, the former capital of east Georgia Kingdom of Iberia. Visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral founded in 11th c. The cathedral is included in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list.
Drive up to Jvari Monastery, located on the cliff, overlooking Mtskheta town and the confluence of two rivers – Aragvi and Mtkvari. Jvari is translated literally as the “monastery of Cross”. This site is also included in UNESCO sites list.
Arrive in Tbilisi. Have half day city tour. Ride up to Narikala fortressby cable car. Narikala stands on the cliff which makes it one of the most remarkable landmarks of Tbilisi. The fortress consists of two walled sections between the Sulfur bathhouses and Tbilisi Botanical Garden.
Stroll down and enjoy sightseeing in Tbilisi old town. Visit Legvtakhevi where you’ll find waterfall falling from 40 m. Continue to Sulfur bathhouses and Meidan square.
Overnight in Tbilisi.
Day 9: DEPARTURE
Transfer to Tbilisi International Airport for departure.
