Nunisi resort
If you wish to enjoy the place full of legends, Nunisi is a good match for you. There are several myths about the treatment features of its water, related to the epoch of the King David the builder and the Queen Tamara.
The King was coming back victoriously from the war, when his horses extremely tired and back-bruised drank the Nunisi water and lied in it. Very soon the horses felt better and started to eat. Once Queen Tamara, returning from a war was charmed by the beauty of Nunisi and ordered to construct a church at this wonderful place. The Church is named after the Virgin Marry and keeps standing till now. Nunisi resort soon became famous and people keep coming here from different corners of Georgia.
The resort is located in Kharagauli region, at the height of 720-760 meters above the sea level, 20 km away from Kharagauli regional center and 6 km away from Moliti railway station. A river "Nunisi Tskali" runs through the territory and later joins river "Zvarula". There is a subtropical climate in Nunisi with cold winter and mildly warm summer. One can reach the resort either by car, belonging to the resort or by a taxi, available at the "Moliti" station. The transportation costs from the station to the resort vary from 8 to10 GEL. People traveling by their own cars must owe biaxial automobiles in order to cover 22 km Chumateleti-Moliti section. The difficult section of 22km road – Kharagauli-Moliti should also be considered.
